Since the CNMC in June, I have felt this need to be writing more. And to be writing with intentionality. My husband, Mac, and I have a site that has been sort of a catch-all for everything we're doing, both together and apart.
As I have been blogging more, the need to write about all kinds of things that interest me has caused me to re-evaluate sticking with the current set-up. I am interested in all manner of girly things. Our site is very much an extension of our podcast. A lot of what I want to write about may appeal to the male gender, and I hope you gentlemen who have enjoyed my writing in the past will continue to come and peruse my site. But subscription boxes, mommy issues, and female problems may not be what our listeners are interested in.
Then there's simply the creative side of me that wants this space. This space to call my own. To try out new ideas. To write and explore what's happening with me. To be uncluttered and simple. A fresh start.
Many of the posts that are on the other blog have been written sitting on my porch. Though this time of year the heat and humidity keep me inside, I dream of the time when I can get back out there. But I'm liable to find a porch wherever I am. I often pick vacation condos or houses based on their porches. I'm excited to take pictures of a few of those on some trips I'll be taking in the next few months.
Use the tag #porchmusings on Instagram to show off pictures of you on your "porch". Maybe it's tiny - a little balcony. Maybe you have a park that you consider your porch. Or a favorite coffee shop. What ever your porch situation, I hope that you have a place to relax and think about, read about, write about...whatever.
Looking forward to sharing my porch-sitting with you.
